Dive into the art of abstract tapestry weaving. This course is for everyone, beginners with no prior experience to intermediate level.. Learn basic weaving techniques and experiment with a variety of colorful yarns and fibers to create your own unique piece of art. This hands-on workshop focuses on practical skills and creative exploration.

Facilitator’s Profile:
Mohammed Noman Khan is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from the Department of Craft, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. He works across various media, including appliqué, tapestry, metalwork, printmaking, and watercolor. He is also the founder of Bringol.

Workshop Outline:
- Receive all the materials you need: A 10x10 inch frame, a selection of colorful wools, and basic weaving tools will be provided.
- Learn essential weaving techniques: Discover the basics of warping the frame and creating simple weaving patterns.
- Explore abstract design: Experiment with color combinations, textures, and different weaving techniques to create unique and dynamic designs.
- Create your own masterpiece: Weave your own mini abstract tapestry and take it home as a unique souvenir of the fair.
- Enjoy a relaxed and creative atmosphere: Connect with fellow participants and share your creations in a fun and supportive environment.
Participants will receive a complete workshop kit consisting of:
- One tapestry frame
- 2-3 types of colored wool
- Thread cutter
- Worksheet
